| If playing music and storing files isn't enough, Apple and Motorola announced the ROKR (pronounced rocker) - the world's first mobile phone with iTunes. Users can transfer up to 100 songs from the iTunes jukebox on their Mac or PC to the mobile phone. The Motorola ROKR features easy-to-use menus, simple navigation and playback, and the ability to simply switch from listening to music to talking on the phone and back again with the push of a dedicated music key. The ROKR features a color display for viewing album art, dual built-in stereo speakers and stereo headphones that also serve as a mobile headset with microphone. Users can randomly autofill or manually fill the mobile phone with playlists of their selected music, audiobooks and Podcasts from their iTunes library via a USB connection. The Motorola pauses the music automatically when users take a call and offers the ability to listen to music while checking messages or snapping a photo. As the name suggests, the Voltaic Solar Backpack ($229-$249 suggested retail price) is a backpack boasting three photovoltaic solar panels that generate 4 watts of power. The backpack also comes with 11 common charging tips to fit a wide variety of portable electronics, including many MP3 players, cell phones and iPods. The backpack also features a 2,200mAh Li-Ion battery pack, with three voltage settings to store solar power. It also includes a wall adapter and car charger to charge the battery when there's no sun available, and a cigarette power adapter into which you can plug the cigarette power cord of any device. The empty backpack weighs only 3.5 lbs. |
