SEC Now Offers Free Real-Time Access to EDGAR Filings

The Securities & Exchange Commission has launched real-time searchable access to its EDGAR database of public company filings. Users can search for filings by:
- Company Name
- SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) Code
- State
- CIK (Central Index Key) code
The SEC has also made a browseable list of "the latest" filings available in reverse chronological order. Previously, real-time access to SEC filings was only available from private vendors - most of which charged a fee for the service. See also:
