Author-Speaker Carole Levitt Named One of the 'Women You Need to Know: In Law and Technology'
Author/speaker Carole Levitt has been recognized by the American Bar Association’s Law Technology Today publication as one of the “Women You Need to Know: In Law and Technology.” The article serves as a resource list of “women who write and speak about legal technology” for those who might otherwise express a difficulty in finding such women. More generally, the article serves as a resource for locating the high-quality content these women produce – on the Web and elsewhere.

Previously, Levitt has been recognized with induction as a Fellow to the College of Law Practice Management, the international honor society that recognizes distinguished law practice management professionals; and as part of the 2013 Fastcase50, the peer-nominated, legal industry award recognizing "50 of the smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries, and leaders in the law," among other honors.

About Carole Levitt
Carole Levitt, founder/principal of Internet For Lawyers (IFL), is an internationally recognized CLE seminar speaker and best-selling American Bar Association author. She writes and speaks on Internet investigative and legal research, social media research, social media ethics, Google search, Google cloud Apps, and technology for lawyers. Since 1999, IFL has provided law firms, corporations, and local and state Bar Associations around the country with professional and entertaining turn-key CLE programs. The company focuses on delivering information about free investigative and background research resources available on the Internet.
Together with co-author Mark Rosch, Levitt has written six ABA Law Practice (LP)Division books, including "Google Gmail and Calendar For Lawyers in One Hour" (2013), two editions of "The Lawyer’s Guide to Fact Finding on the Internet," "Google For Lawyers," and "Find Info Like a Pro," Volumes 1 and 2. They have also just completed the thirteenth edition of their book "The Cybersleuth's Guide to the Internet" (2015, IFL Press). Levitt also co-authored “Internet Legal Research on a Budget (ABA, 2014) with Judy K. Davis.
Previously, Levitt was a California attorney, a law librarian in Chicago and Los Angeles, and a Legal Research and Writing Professor at Pepperdine University School of Law. She graduated with distinction from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago and was a member of the school’s law review. Carole has a Masters in Library Science and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois.
Levitt has served on the ABA LP Division’s Publications Advisory Board since 2003 and on its Executive Council from 2008-11. She also chaired the California State Bar’s LP Management and Technology Executive Committee, served on the Executive Board of the Los Angeles County Bar’s LPM Section, and was Vice President of the Southern California Association of Law Librarians. She is active in the Association of Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA).
